UDHAMPUR, June 15: Chief Education Officer Udhampur, Balbir Singh today ordered suspension of Headmaster Government Middle School Berna for dereliction of duty.
On the direction of CEO, ZEO Pancheri Pawan Slathia conducted a surprise visit of the school and found that only one ReT teacher was present on the duty. The absent four teachers were shown on leave, which was not duly sanctioned and sent to the Pay Centre. The inspection team was astonished to notice that Ranjeet Singh, the Incharge of the school had availed 60 to 70 duties unauthorized. On interaction with the students, the ZEO found that the class work was not sufficient and only a small portion of the syllabus was covered.
Taking cognizance of the matter, ZEO immediately stopped salary of the Headmaster Incharge for remaining absent from the school and also recommended the latter’s suspension. Acting on the recommendation, CEO ordered suspension of Ranjeet Singh with immediate effect for dereliction of duties and playing with the career of students.
