JAMMU, June 13: A three days workshop on ‘Adult Literacy’ today concluded with lightening of candle by chief guest, Sanjay Parihar, Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Domana.
A number of teachers from various districts of Jammu province attended the workshop and took pledge to utilize their services for betterment of illiterate adults in their respective areas.
Gurnam Singh, Rattan Mani and their associates organised the workshop in which Vijay Gupta was guest of the honour.
In his address, Sanjay Parihar stressed upon the teachers to ensure adult literacy in their areas of posting, which could go a long way in making the people literate.
He said this job can be performed only by the teachers and they should take it seriously.
