VIJAYPUR, Mar 25: Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur organized lectures for trainees who are presently undergoing three months Upper Class Course at the Institute.
Two guest speakers were invited for this occasion. Subash Chander Gupta (Retd District & Sessions Judge) delivered lecture on UAPA cases and talked about key provisions of UAPA and purpose of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) whereas Pawan Khajuria (Retd Joint Director Prosecution) in his lecture conveyed the importance of FIRs & Remand as per the New Criminal Laws amended in the year 2023 highlighting the importance of FIRs in criminal trial, its evidentiary value under BNSS and new rule for FIRs. The lectures were attended by trainees as well as staff of the Institute.
Dushyant Sharma, Principal PTTI Vijaypur said the aim of organizing such lectures for trainees and staff is to aware them about UAPA cases and importance of FIRs which would definitely help cops while performing their duties in near future.
He thanked both the guests for visiting the Institute to aware the cops.
Raj Kumar, SrPO; Davinder Gupta, Dy.SP (Outdoor) and Khushwant Singh, DySP(Admn) were also present on the occasion.
