JAMMU, Mar 24: The election for new office bearers of Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Taushi Shakha branch was held here today.
In this regard the annual general body meeting cum parivar milan of Taushi branch was held here to elect the president, secretary and treasurer of the branch.
Arun Sharma, regional joint general secretary, Shiv Ram Sharma, general secretary, who were appointed as the observers, supervised the conduct of elections and declared the results.
Ajay Khajuria was re-elected as president of Taushi branch, Jagmohan Sharma was re-elected as secretary and Prof Ajay Khajuria was elected as treasurer of the branch.
The proceedings were coordinated by Chander Mohan Sharma, Kamni Kesar and Vinod Kumar.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Jagmohan Sharma, secretary of the branch.
Earlier, the annual report and the financial statement of Taushi Branch for the financial year 2024-25 was presented by Ajay Khajuria, president and Prof Ajay Khajuria, treasurer of the branch.
A presentation was also delivered by resource persons from ANUGRAHA, an NGO working in the field of creating awareness about the ‘Rights of Senior Citizens’ on behalf of the National Institute of Social Defence, New Delhi.
