JAMMU, Mar 12: A notorious drug peddler was arrested with 8.37 grams of heroin from Asrarabad area of Sidhra here today.
Mohammad Ashraf Khatana of Asrarabad, Sidhra, who was moving under suspicious circumstances, tried to flee on seeing the police at Sidhra, a police official said.
He was chased and on putting him to search, 8.37 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession, he said.
Following the seizure, the accused was booked under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Police Station Nagrota and further investigation taken up, the police official said.
