SAMBA, Mar 11: Police in Bari Brahmana area of Samba district claimed today they have detained 20 vagrants from a drug hotspot and lodged them in District Jail Kathua.
Acting on specific inputs, a team of Police Station Bari Brahmana conducted a special operation led by SSP Samba, Virinder Manhas around infamous heroin hotspot Balole Khad area and detained 20 vagrants wandering suspiciously in the area, a police official said.
This move aimed at curbing drug-related offences and rehabilitate those involved in narcotics substance abuse, he said.
