SRINAGAR, June 6: Army today launched an opening session of the INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) project in Leh.
A defence spokesman said Lieutenant General Rakesh Sharma, General Officer Commanding, Fire and Fury Corps. General Rakesh Sharma lunched the opening ceremony of the event in the Rinchen Auditorium of the Fire and Fury Corps at Leh.
General Rakesh Sharma brought out the importance of Science and Technology in the modern era and revealed that science was emerging as the bedrock behind all human activities.
INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) is focusing on inspiring school students to choose science as a part of their higher studies.
He urged the student to develop an aptitude for science and pursue scientific disciplines for higher learning.
