SAMBA, Mar 2: Police in Bari Brahmana area here claimed they have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 17.95 grams of heroin-like-substance from their possession.
During vehicle checking at Lane number 17, Industrial area, Bari Brahmana, a Santro car (JK01P-4198) coming from Balole Khad side was stopped for checking, a police official said.
On search of the vehicle, he said, 17.95 grams of heroin-like-substance was recovered from the possession of two persons travelling in the car. They were identified as Reyaz Ahmed Wani of Looseani Batmaloo, tehsil and district Pulwama, and Asif Ahmed Rishi of Banapora Batmaloo, tehsil and district Srinagar.
Accordingly, they were arrested and booked in case FIR number 34/2025 under sections 8/21/22/25/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and further investigation taken up, said the police official.
