JAMMU, Feb 26: BJP spokesperson, Vikram Malhotra has claimed that people of J&K have very high expectations from the CM Omar Abdullah and are expecting a budget in line with the promises made by NC in its election manifesto.
Addressing party functionaries on ‘Budget Pe Charcha’ programme at Sunderbani, Malhotra said that recent statements made by the CM were discouraging for masses as he expressed his inability to provide relief to the common man by citing his helplessness in wake of J&K being an UT while he very well knew the realities before contesting the elections.
Explaining the budget in detail, Malhotra highlighted key achievements of the Union Budget and termed it as futuristic and holistic.
“The major tax relief of increasing the limit for non taxable income to Rs. 12 lakh will provide a lot of disposable income to the middle class which will speed up economic growth,” he maintained adding that increase in Kisan Credit Card limit from Rs. 3 to 5 lakh will boost agricultural production.
Others present on the occasion were DDC member, Rajinder Sharma, District president, Pritam Sharma, Bal Krishan, Sohan Sharma, Ramesh Chander, Sukhdev Singh, Naseeb Singh, Vikas Sharma, Anil Khajuria, Ashok Singh, Naresh Singh, Mahila Morcha members Dr. Anjana Verma, Anita Sharma, Renu Sharma and Usha Raina.
