EJCC urges Govt for solving employees’ pending issues

SRINAGAR, Feb 25: The J&K Employees Consultative Committee (EJCC) has urged the JKUT Government to resolve the long pending issues of the employees and pensioners.
A meeting of the EJCC was held at its head office, Shaheed Gunj, Srinagar, presided over by Chairman Aijaz Ahmad Khan. The key highlight of the meeting was the participation of Vinod Sharma, who was recently appointed as the general secretary from Jammu region. He was warmly welcomed by the organization. The Chairman emphasized upon the unity and organizational stability, stressing the need to adopt an effective strategy for addressing employees’ concerns.
During the meeting, the Government was urged to address the issues including – timely release of employees’ General Provident Fund (GPF) bills; regularization of all temporary employees, including FPS workers and laborers; providing leave salary benefits to teachers upon retirement, similar to other Government employees; inclusion of all Government employees of Jammu & Kashmir under the Old Pension Scheme; regularization of Anganwadi and ASHA workers or at least their inclusion under the Minimum Wages Act; restoration of SRO-43 in its original form; inclusion of Aayas, Cook-cum-Helpers, and CPWs working in the Education Department under the Minimum Wages Act until their regularization; regularization of employees working under various centrally assisted schemes and immediate disbursement of retirement benefits to retired employees upon their retirement.
During the meeting, Aijaz Khan emphasized strict adherence to organizational discipline. He stated that any office bearer who remains absent for three consecutive meetings will be expelled from the organization. In this regard, all speakers of the organization authorized the Chairman to take necessary action against those who remain absent, assuring their full support for any such decisions.
