JAMMU, Feb 23: The annual magazine of Shree Vishwakarma Library and Research Centre (SVLARC), ‘Vishwakarma Reporter’ was released in a function held here today.
The magazine was released by Ratan Lal Chargotra (Chairman Vishwakarma Sabha) in presence of Balbir Ram Rattan, (Spokesperson, BJP & ex- VC, J&K SC/ST/BC Dev Corporation), Deepak Virdhi (Famous Actor and Director) and Ram Pal Chargotra.
Speaking on the occasion, convener of the library, Ramesh Angotra said that the magazine is playing a big role in eradicating social evils, motivating youth towards education and bringing awareness among the masses in every nook and corner of Jammu and Kashmir.
It contains a one year history of the Vishwakarma community.
Balbir Ram Rattan, the chief guest said that publishing a community magazine is a tough task and those who have compiled it deserve praise.
On this occasion some members who have excelled in various fields were also felicitated.
They included Kalidas Verma, Monu Verma, Nidhi Chalotra, Shashi Dalmotra and Malkyat Kumar.
Among others who attended the function included Prof Kali Das, Mohinder Lal (President of Temple Committee), Kasturi Lal, (Principal), Ratan Bhardwaj (Renowned singer & artist), JR Sagar, Mahesh Pangotra, Santosh Kumari, Abdul Qadir Kundaria (Poet), Hritik Malgotra, Avtar Verma (Punjabi poet) , Kewal Krishan (Panch), Nitu Verma, Pritam Lal Verma, Harbansh Lal Harsh, Brij Salgotra, Satpal Verma, Jayant Chargotra, Akanksha Verma, Nitish Kumar, Kreetika Kataria and Usha.
