SRINAGAR, Feb 22: The Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS), Bemina, today organized a medical camp for persons with speech and hearing impairments at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Uri.
During the camp, around 80 hearing aids were distributed, along with free ENT consultations for the beneficiaries.
The event was attended by MLA Uri, Dr. Sajjad Shafi, as the chief guest, who lauded the efforts of VMS in supporting persons with disabilities.
The camp was held in collaboration with J&K Bank and District Hospital Uri.
BMO Uri, Dr. Bashir Ahmad, doctors, NC Senior Vice Block President Uri Chowdary Nazir Ahmad, Yasir Arfat Banday, and other dignitaries were also present.
The initiative received overwhelming appreciation from the local community, reaffirming the importance of collective efforts in improving the lives of persons with disabilities.
