JAMMU, Feb 19: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K here today released an open memorandum to the Chief Minister and it was based on public aspirations.
In a press conference, Shiv Sena J&K chief, Manish Sahni said that seeking suggestions from the public and public representatives under the commitment of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for a public friendly budget is a commendable step.
He said that under the demand of ‘local first’, strict instructions should be issued to reserve 80 per cent jobs for local youth in industry and private sectors and special financial assistance should be given for the promotion of local small industries.
The Shiv Sena leader demanded allocation of special package and separate budget for the development of tourism and Dogra heritage sites of Jammu division.
He also demanded free electricity and improved facilities like education, health, roads etc.
Sahni appealed BJP MLAs to raise voice for the demands of the people of Jammu division in the upcoming budget session.
Shiv Sena general secretary, Vikas Bakshi and senior vice president, Sanjeev Kohli were also present on the occasion.
