UDHAMPUR, Feb 19: One person was killed and two others injured when a car rolled down into a deep gorge near Kirmoo in Ramnagar area today.
According to reports a car bearing registration number JK14H-2193 was on its way from Ramnagar to Udhampur. When it reached near Kirmoo, the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into a deep gorge.
Locals of the area and Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Sub District Hospital, Ramnagar where doctors referred them to District Hospital Udhampur after providing preliminary treatment. One of them succumbed to his injuries on the way and was declared as brought dead by the doctors at Udhampur.
The deceased was identified as Shubham Singh alias Mohinder (22) son of Uttam Singh of Ritti, Kooh Nallah. Two seriously injured were later referred to GMC Jammu.
The injured were identified as Sunil Kumar (24), son of Subash Chander of Nili Majalta and Surjeet Singh (24), son of Dinesh Kumar of Ritti. The police has registered a case in this connection.
