Plus-2 Lecturers’ Forum calls on Shantmanu, highlights key issues

JAMMU, Feb 18: All J&K +2 Lecturers’ Forum, led by president, Pardeep Singh Rakwal and Chairman, R S Salathia, called on Administrative Secretary School Education Department, Shantmanu in his office chamber.
The Forum raised many issues that the Plus 2 Lecturers were confronted with. The delegation expressed serious concern over unnecessary delay in the process of regularisation and urged Administrative Secretary, Shantmanu to convene DPC for regularisation of Incharge lecturers at the earliest.
The delegation also raised the issues of ACP, repatriation of lecturers and left-out Principals from other districts and Zone 5, elevation of atleast 50 more senior lecturers to the rank of Principals so that pending vacancies of Principals could be filled up to make Higher Secondary Schools functional in the interest of student community.
The Administrative Secretary delivered a memorandum highlighting all burning issues of the officers of +2 cadre which were marked by Sakeena Masood Itoo, Minister of School Education.
Responding to the issues raised by the Forum, Shantmanu immediately directed the office to fix a date for convening DPC for regularisation of Incharge lecturers. On other issues, Shantmanu said that the department had all issues in mind and the issues will be resolved in the sequence of priority.
The delegation later met Gulzar Ahmed Dar, Special Secretary SED in his Office Chamber and had detailed discussion with him over regularisation of Incharge lecturers and other issues. He purportedly informed that the work on regularisation was on its last leg.
Those who were part of the delegation included Ghar Singh ( General Secretary), Showkat Hussain Zarger ( Chief Organizer), Ramesh Kumar Padroo, Gh. Nabi Malik, Bal Krishan Tickoo, Rajnish Raina, Shakeel Ahmed and others.
