JAMMU, Feb 18: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Armed Police (AP) Jammu, Dr Vinod Kumar, along with Commandant of JKAP-6th Battalion, Tahir Sajjad Bhat, visited the Battalion’s Coy Headquarters in Harni and Behra Mendhar areas of Poonch district today.
During the visit, a Darbar was held to address the grievances of jawans, with Dr Kumar listening to their concerns and issuing instructions for their resolution.
At the Battalion Headquarters in Behra Mendhar, Dr Kumar addressed around 100 officers and officials, stressing the importance of maintaining alertness and vigilance, particularly with regard to the activities of Anti-National Elements (ANEs) in the area.
He also encouraged physical fitness and advised all personnel to engage in regular physical activities to maintain their health.
The DIG commended the proper maintenance of the Battalion Headquarters and its units, while also assuring that infrastructure-related issues would be addressed with higher authorities.
Additionally, he announced the commencement of regular Yoga classes at both Battalion and Coy Hqrs. and urged all officers and officials to attend for overall well-being.
Dr Kumar further highlighted the importance of staying updated on new criminal laws and requested the personnel to continue learning.
He also directed the Commandant to ensure regular medical check-ups for all Jawans to identify and address any health concerns.
The visit aimed to enhance the operational readiness of the Battalion while addressing the welfare of the personnel.
