JKPSA demands action against unrecognised, dummy schools

JAMMU, Feb 15: Highlighting the issue of unrecognised and dummy schools, J&K Private Schools Association has alleged harassment of students and their parents in the hands of such institutions.
Talking to media persons, here today, Ajay Gupta, President the Association, drew attention towards allotment of UDISE code to unrecognized schools, proxy admission, clubbing of the students of unrecognized schools with the recognized private schools / Government schools and nexus of the schools with the tutorials/ coaching centers of dummy admission.
He claimed that the matter in this regard was repeatedly brought into the notice of the officials serving in School Education Department and its allied departments, but no action was initiated by any of these agency in JKUT to curb this menace of illegal tactics.
Ajay Gupta appealed to the Government to display a list of all recognized schools with class and period of recognition in the official website designed by the JKBOSE and Department of School Education for the wider publicity to save parents and students from any harassment in the near future.
The Association also appealed to the Government for the lenient view under rules to save career of 22 students of The Islamic Global School Srinagar.
