JAMMU, Feb 15: BJP leader and MLA West constituency, Arvind Gupta today kick-started the upgradation work of the drainage system at Ward 25, behind Dayal House.
The project, sanctioned at a cost of Rs 8.5 lakh, aims to resolve persistent drainage issues, prevent water logging and enhance sanitation facilities in the locality.
Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta stated that Jammu is steadily progressing towards becoming a well-planned and developed city under the regime of Modi Government. He emphasized that improving the drainage system, roads and sanitation facilities is crucial for enhancing the quality of life for residents.
“Our goal is to make Jammu a model city with efficient drainage, clean roads, and better civic amenities,” he said and assured the public that more such development projects will be undertaken to uplift the infrastructure across Jammu West.
Gupta reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening Jammu’s infrastructure and urged citizens to support Government efforts by maintaining cleanliness and reporting civic issues promptly.
Prominent among those present were Mandal president Kushant Daffara, senior citizen Dr Jitender Udhampuri, AEE JMC, JE JMC Mukesh and senior BJP leader Atul Bakshi. Several BJP workers, including Veenu Khanna, Ashok Khanna, Rohit Gupta, Rohit Ashish, Sonia, Sanjeev, Amrik, Madan Panday, Rakesh, Suri and Krishan were also present.
