IGP Jammu reviews facilities, infra at CTC Sunjwan

JAMMU, Feb 11: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu, Bhim Sen Tuti, today visited the Commando Training Centre (CTC) in Sunjwan to review its facilities and infrastructure.
A statement said that visit aimed at evaluating whether the center’s resources are up to standard for training specialized forces for critical security operations.
During the visit, the IGP was briefed by the Principal CTC Sunjwan on the center’s past training programs and its operational readiness.
He emphasized the need for modernizing training methods and enhancing facilities to ensure that personnel are fully prepared for counter-terrorism and security challenges.
Tuti directed immediate upgrades to the training grounds, accommodation, and equipment. He also stressed the importance of regular maintenance of existing infrastructure to ensure optimal training conditions.
The IGP also called for a review of all training modules, suggesting the inclusion of more specialized courses that focus on improving the tactical, physical, and psychological preparedness of commandos.
He assured that necessary resources would be allocated to make CTC Sunjwan a top-tier training center, enhancing the region’s security forces.
Present during the visit were the Commandant IR 14th Battalion, SSP Special Ops and Training, ZPHQ Jammu, SP Ops Jammu, and other senior police officials.
