JAMMU, Feb 5 : As mandated by the regulatory authorities, the 33rd Governing Body meeting of Shoolini University (SU) was held today in the university campus.
The meeting was chaired by Chancellor Prof P K Khosla, who expressed gratitude for the State Government’s support and presented a detailed overview of the university’s initiatives in research and innovation.
Prof Dinesh Chhantna, Director of the Shoolini IPR Office, presented key achievements in patents and shared that the university has published 744 patents so far and a total of 1,622 patents have been filed under different categories, with 579 patents granted overall.
Chief Learning Officer Dr Ashoo Khosla provided insights into the university’s curriculum, while Dean of Research and Development Prof Sourabh Kulshrestha elaborated on Shoolini University’s continuous advancements in research.
During the meeting, Congress Deputy Chief Whip and Shahpur MLA Kewal Singh Pathania commended Shoolini University for its outstanding contributions to innovation and research in the private university sector.
Kasauli MLA Vinod Sultanpuri provided valuable insights on enhancing research opportunities in nearby sinking areas.
Later, the two MLAs planted a cedar sapling in the university courtyard, symbolising a commitment to environmental sustainability.
The meeting was attended by Pro-Chancellor Vishal Anand, Registrar Prof Sunil Puri, Director of Operations Brig S D Mehta, Trustee Satish Anand and other Governing Body members.
