JAMMU, Feb 2: A man was arrested in Domana area here for firing gunshots in the air over a land dispute.
The incident occurred in the Lale Da Bagh area when Brij Raj Singh, a resident of Exchange Road, Jammu, presently residing in Barnai, fired the shots at a family that was cutting grass on the disputed land, a police official said.
The land in question had previously been sold by Singh’s brother to the family, he said.
Following the incident, the police official said, an FIR (No. 31/2025) was registered at the Domana Police Station under sections 109, 329(3) of the BNS and 3/25 of the Arms Act.
The accused has been arrested, and further investigation is underway.
