NSF celebrates birth anniversary of Lala Lajpat Rai

JAMMU, Jan 28: On the birth anniversary of Lala Lajpat Rai, who laid his life for the country, National Secular Forum (NSF), organized a program in Jammu University Campus and paid him rich tribute.
Ankush Abrol, Provincial Joint Secretary, JKNC, was the chief guest on the occasion and Dr Vikas Sharma, Secretary Central Zone and Coordinator Jammu District, JKNC, presided over the event. Vikshay Vashist, State Secretary NSF and Incharge University Unit was the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Ankush Abrol appreciated the efforts of NSF members to come forward and organize this function for remembering Lala Lajpat Rai who was one of the foremost leaders who fought against British rule in India.
Dr Vikas Sharma threw light on the life and supreme sacrifices of Lala Lajpat Rai. He said that the real tribute to the martyrs would be eradicating evils prevailing in the society like drug addiction.
Vikshay Vashist also addressed the gathering. Abhishek Uppal delivered the welcome address while Gourav Partap Singh, NSF President of Jammu University unit, presented the vote of thanks.
