JAMMU, Jan 27: Jammu and Kashmir BJP spokesperson, Vikram Malhotra today said that just like Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi and Punjab, National Conference’s hollow promises to people of J&K have been exposed.
“The NC Government in J&K is closer to completing three months in chair but not even a single promise has been fulfilled nor any decision taken to fix time frame to meet the poll aspirations of the people,” he said, while addressing a press conference along with BJP spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan and Media Incharge Dr Pardeep Mahotra at party headquarters today.
Stating that the National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir, influenced by the politics of Aam Aadmi Party, experimented the lofty promises, during the last Assembly elections, giving dreams to the innocent voters, Vikram reminded that the NC promised 200 units free electricity, free drinking water to every household, rupees 5000 per month to female heads of the family, increase in widow pension to rupees 3000, free travel for female passengers, 12 cylinders per year, free 10 kg rice/ atta etc, but none of the promises was fulfilled.
Drawing a comparison between NC and AAP, Vikram said that in the last elections, AAP had made a promise to the Delhi voters to open 500 new schools, review Excise policy, 12 lakh jobs, pollution free Delhi, clean Yamuna by 2025 and so on. Similarly, he added, in Punjab too, AAP had promised Drug free Punjab, giving post of Deputy Chief Minister to a Dalit, financial assistance of 1000 rupees to all female members revival of old pension scheme.
“Unfortunately, neither in Delhi nor in Punjab AAP fulfilled any poll promise and is again campaigning for Assembly polls in Delhi, on such promises,” he added and reiterated that BJP would form next Government in Delhi.
