76th Republic Day celebrated with patriotic fervor across J&K

JAMMU, Jan 25: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated today in advance by various educational, political and social organizations across the length and breadth of Jammu and Kashmir.
Government Degree College (GDC) RS Pura celebrated the Day by organizing an Inter-College Singing Competition on the theme “Patriotic Harmony’. Principal of the College Dr Preetpal Kour was chief guest on the occasion. Several colleges from all over Jammu participated in the event during which students showcased their patriotic fervor and music talent.
NSS Unit of GDC Vijaypur organized a ‘Tiranga Rally’ to celebrate the occasion. The Rally was flagged off by Dr Vandana Verma, Principal of the college. A large gathering of Faculty Members, NSS Volunteers and students of the college joined in the celebrations. The rally started from college campus to Patti village and back to college campus. During the rally, the Tricolour was waving in the air in every hand and the atmosphere was filled with patriotism.
The students and staff of IDPS Akhnoor came together to celebrate 76th Republic Day with fervor and enthusiasm. The celebration commenced with a vibrant flag hoisting ceremony, followed by a variety of cultural performances that showcased the talent and patriotism of the young students. The event was attended by distinguished dignitaries, including MD Dr Dheeraj Jamwal Sharma, Principal KCS Mehta, Vice Principal Vinay Khajuria and Headmistress Anchal Gupta.
The Republic day celebration at MHAC School Nagbani was held with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The entire school premises were decorated with tricolour ribbons, balloons and boards. The inspiring speeches by students highlighted the importance of Republic Day The cultural programme that followed was a spectacular showcase of talent. Principal Brij Mohan, through his message, encouraged students and teachers to uphold the values of justice, equality and liberty in their lives.
Rich Harvest School celebrated the Day with patriotic fervor. In a special Assembly, the students presented a colorful cultural program, which included patriotic songs, dances and skits. Anita Bhatia, Head of the Institute, said that it is essential for the younger generation to understand the significance of Republic Day and the importance of upholding the principles of our Constitution.
The celebrations also held in Vishwa Bharati Higher Secondary School, Akalpur Morh, Jammu. The chief guest of the occasion was Brigadier Dr Vijay Sagar. The celebration included a colourful cultural program showcasing the rich and diverse heritage of India. Students presented patriotic songs, dances and skits captivating the audience with their talent and dedication.
The Republic Day function was also organized at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Public Higher Secondary School, Kunjwani. Chief guest, Professor Harbans Singh (Chairman of the School) took salute at an impressive march past by different houses of the School and unfurled the National Flag in the presence of Principal Gurtaj Singh and other staff members.
The Republic Day function was also held at Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu. Ex- Deputy Commissioner and BJP Leader Guldev Raj Bhagat was the chief guest on the occasion. Participants filled the ambience with patriotic slogans and songs, while distributing sweets to mark their happiness on the occasion. The chief guest said this day is a symbol of freedom, equality and integrity of our country and its every citizen. BJP office secretary Hans Raj Loria and R L. Kaith also addressed the gathering.
Lawrence Public School celebrated the Day with patriotic fervor in collaboration with Gandhi Global Family. The programme was presided over by Yudhvir Sethi (MLA, Jammu East) as chief guest and Lt General Rakesh Sharma (president, J&K, Ex Services league) as guest of honour. The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a cultural program. The programme concluded with the singing of National Anthem by the gathering.
S D Tara Puri Public High School celebrated the Day with immense patriotic fervour in School premises. The celebration started with the flag hoisting ceremony. Chief guest Dr Sonika Sudan (JKAS officer, State Taxes Department) and Bhanu Mahajan (former Corporator of Ward Number 21, Gandhi Nagar) unfurled the Tricolour along with the members of school management committee and Principal. A bonanza of patriotic songs, role play activity, patriotic plays and speeches were presented by the students.
Cradle2Crayons School, Lower Roopnagar, Jammu celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm. The Day began with the rendition of the National Anthem, followed by students’ energetic performances, including songs, dances, and skits. In a separate dialogue presentation the students highlighted the salient features of our constitution. It was an educational exercise.
Mother Care Kid’s Club Middle School, Peermitha (Jammu) also celebrated the Day in its school premises. The celebrations began with hoisting of National Flag, followed by a series of cultural performances. Skits, dances and speeches were presented by the students. In her address, Principal Shalini Mahajan encouraged the students to uphold the values of democracy.
