UDHAMPUR, Jan: 25: Udhampur Police destroyed more than three quintals of psychotropic substances seized in 26 different NDPS cases.
The destroyed items included 310.931 kg of poppy straw, 528.59 grams of heroin, and 114 grams of charas.
The destruction was carried out through controlled incineration at M/S Anmol Healthcare, Vijaypur, Samba, following all required formalities to ensure environmental safety. The process was fully videographed and secured.
This action is in accordance with Section 52-A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
Earlier, on December 5, 2024, approximately 2000 kg of narcotics was also incinerated by Udhampur Police.
