JAMMU, Jan 24: Newly nominated PDP Migrant wing president, Sunil Bhat today expressed concern over introduction of unnecessary NFSA form for migrant Kashmiri Pandits (KPs).
He was speaking during a function at Party office in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. During the function, he was hounoured by former Minister and party general secretary Abdul Haq Khan, senior party functionary/leaders amidst many migrant leaders.
Highlighting the plight of Kashmiri Pandits on the occasion, Bhat criticized the Government at the helm of affairs for introducing unnecessary NFSA form for migrants which need to be exempted till the permanent rehabilitation of KPs back in Valley.
Bhat also appealed for enhancement of monthly relief assistance and advertisement of 20,000 permanent posts for educated unemployed migrant youth living in exile and one time compensation to over aged youth. He also appealed to Chief Minister and Relief Commissioner Jammu for immediately release the relief of Kashmiri Migrants which was stopped by the Relief Department one and half year back, whose CID verification has been in positive and completed.
He expressed gratitude to Party president Mehbooba Mufti and other senior leaders of the party for reposing faith in him in giving him this big responsibility and assured the party leaders that he will leave no stone unturned in coming up to their expectations as well try to mitigate migrant community issues vigorously.
The leaders who were present in the function were Satpal Singh Charak (additional general secretary), R K Pardesi (former state secretary), senior leader Sukhvinder Singh, M K Dhar, K K Sharma (district president, Jammu Rural), Bharat Bhushan Sadhu, Bansi Lal Koul, Veer Ji Raina, Anu, Ravinder Singh Jamwal, Pran Nath Pandita, Pawan Pattu, Bimal Wantoo, Raja, Sahab, Bal Krishan, Durga Nath Bhat, Janaki Nath Bhat, Ramesh Koul, Suraj Tak, Bablu and many others.
