RAMBAN, Jan 23: Police here today under the overall supervision of SSP Ramban, Kulbir Singh foiled a narcotic smuggling bids in Ramsoo and Gool areas and arrested two persons with charas and heroin.
Cops from Police Station Ramsoo during a Naka at Gangro intercepted a pedestrian identified as Surjeet Singh, son of Bhagat Ram, resident of Luroo, Tehsil Ramsoo.
During his checking, 89 gram Charas was recovered from his possession and a case in FIR No. 04/2025 under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Ramsoo in this regard.
In another instance cops from Police Station Gool while conducting checking in Ghora Gali area intercepted a pedestrian identified as Mohd Irfan, son of Abdul Rehman, resident of Pratmulla, Gool.
During his checking, 3 gm Heroin was recovered from his possession and a case in FIR No. 07/2025 under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Gool in this regard.
Police said both drug peddlers were arrested and contraband seized.
