JAMMU, Jan 23: A deputation of Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) led by Sanjay Aggarwal, Chairperson of FADA Jammu met Ashish Anand, Senior General Manager of Jammu Smart City Project and demanded establishment of EV Charging Infrastructure under Jammu Smart City Project.
The deputation members stated that in alignment with the project’s objectives of Smart Energy, Smart Transportation/Mobility and Smart Infrastructure, it is imperative to address the pressing need for the development of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in the city.
“Unfortunately, despite the city’s inclusion in Smart City initiative, the much-needed EV infrastructure is yet to be installed and the gap hinders the promotion of eco-friendly mobility solutions, which are pivotal to achieve a sustainable urban ecosystem,” they maintained.
Earlier also FADA has written a letter to JMC Commissioner demanding the charging stations for electric vehicles in Jammu city.
