DODA, Jan 20: SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta here today visited Bhaderwah and held a PCPG (Police Community Partnership Group) meeting which was attended by prominent persons, elders, local businessmen, religious associations, tourist operators and hoteliers and they raised many demands besides highlighting numerous issues of the area.
The issues highlighted included those of traffic congestion, VDGs and cyber crimes.
The SSP gave a patient hearing to the issues and assured that the demands pertaining to Police would be resolved on priority while the issues related to other departments will be taken up with them for appropriate action.
The SSP Doda voiced for maintaining brotherhood, communal harmony and to strengthen the hands of Police in eradicating social crimes so that peaceful and crime free atmosphere is built up in the district.
He informed the participants that a Cyber Crime unit has already been established at district headquarters which can be contacted in case of any cyber related issues and people must use the social media channels very responsibly.
Thereafter, a crime review meeting was also held at Bhaderwah wherein a threadbare discussion on crime and other allied matters of Police Station Bhaderwah were held with SDPO Bhaderwah, SHO Bhaderwah, IC PPs and other investigating staff of the Police Station. Necessary instructions were given for expeditious disposal of under investigation cases, tracing out of missing persons, arrest of absconders, surveillance on suspected persons, smugglers, conducting of long/short range patrolling besides ensuring police services to the public.
Additional SP Bhaderwah, Vinod Kumar, SDPO Bhaderwah, Vaseem Mehmood and SHO Bhaderwah, Inspector Sandeep Parihar were also present in the meeting.
