JAMMU, Jan 20: The 5-day Border Area Youth Exchange Program concluded here today at Jammu.
The valedictory session was chaired by Prof Seema Rohmetra, Director of The Law School, Jammu University as the guest of honour and Nisar Ahmed Butt, State Director, NYKS, J&K Ladakh.
The program, which began on January 16, witnessed the participation of 25 youth from five different states. The participants hailed from non-border states, including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh. The program’s primary objective was to bridge the gap between residents of border and non-border areas and provide opportunities for youth to realize their true potential.
Nitin Hangloo, DYO NYKS Jammu informed about the daily routine of the participants. The 5 days were marked with interesting sessions on different themes from Entrepreneurship to Lifestyle, Mental Health to stress management, awareness of Government schemes, meditation, lifestyle improvement, and youth empowerment. Additionally, yoga sessions, language learning activities, cultural exchange, and games were organized to make the program engaging and interactive.
During the valedictory session, participants shared their experiences and expressed gratitude to NYKS-MY Bharat for organizing the impactful program. They appreciated the opportunity to learn about life in border areas and develop new skills and perspectives.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Nitan Sharma, Lecturer of the JU Law School.
