4-storey building gutted in S’Bani

RAJOURI, Jan 19: A devastating fire engulfed the four-storey building of a jeweller including a shop at the ground floor on Hospital Road at Sunderbani during working hours, causing major loss.
The incident occurred at mid day, leaving shop owners and workers to save their lives.
The fire started accidentally when the owner, Jujhar Singh, was inside his shop crafting ornaments. The fire spread rapidly, forcing Jujhar Singh and his workers to flee for the safety. Fortunately, no casualty was reported.
The Fire and Emergency Services Station was contacted immediately, and Fire brigade vehicles rushed to the scene. The firemen managed to contain the flames, preventing further damage to nearby properties.
Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary and MLA Kalakote-Sunderbani Randhir Singh visited the site to assess the situation. Authorities are investigating the cause of fire to determine the circumstances leading to this unfortunate incident.
