SAMBA, Jan 17: A youth here today ransacked a shop and stabbed a lady along with her son.
As per sources, a shopkeeper Kishori Lal refused to favour the youth on some issue after which the youth left the spot and returned after sometime with a sharp edged weapon and started looking for Kishori Lal who had gone out for some work.
The youth then started vandalizing the shop and attacked Kishori’s son Nikhil Sharma sitting in the shop. He also injured Nikhil’s mother who came to intervene.
All this created chaos in the market after which the assailant escaped from the spot.
On getting information about the incident, cops reached the spot and shifted the injured lady and her son to District Hospital Samba.
The injured were identified as Kanta Devi, 44, wife of Kishori Lal and her son Nikhil Sharma, 22, resident of Chillyari, Samba.
Police has registered a case in this regard and arrested the assailant identified as Anshu Badyal, resident of Budhwani, Samba and seized the weapon of offence.
