UDHAMPUR, Jan 10: The police today arrested a notorious narco smuggler and recovered some quantity of heroin from his possession in Udhampur town.
Reports said a police team led by Insp Raghubir Singh during patrolling near Housing Colony, Udhampur noticed the movement of a suspicious person namely- Azhar Chandail, son of Mohd. Rafiq, resident of Housing Colony, Udhampur who was directed to stop for checking.
On frisking, 7.83 grams of heroin (chitta) was recovered from his possession. He was arrested and a case was registered against him.
