JAMMU, Jan 6: Jammu Cooperative House Building Society (JCHBS) here today elected its Board of Directors unopposed and names of the elected persons were declared by the Returning Officer (RO).
Against seven vacancies of Directors only seven nominations were received by RO at Bishnah and after scrutiny, all the nominations were found valid and since no withdrawal took place, all the seven Directors were declared elected unopposed.
Earlier the Registrar in a notification has directed the DC Jammu to conduct election of Directors of the Society who then appointed an RO.
Later on the RO followed the requisite procedure and declared seven Directors elected uncontested.
In first meeting, the Directors office bearers of the Society were elected with Vijay Kumar Sharma, elected as president; Kewal Krishan Saini, secretary; Malvinder Singh, treasurer; Parshotam Kumar, Subash Chander, Daljit Singh and Onkar Singh, Directors of the Society.
In the meeting, Board of Society constituted a committee for land purchase to find out the suitability/viability of colony in its area of operation.
