JAMMU, Dec 27: In order to discuss their demands, an emergent meeting of All J&K Electric Department Lineman & Workers Union (EDLWU), was held here today.
The meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Aishaq Hussain, President of the Union.
During the meeting, Aishaq Hussain expressed gratitude to the Managing Director, Jammu Power Dev. Corporation, Jammu for providing Tool Kits to the linemen working in J&K UT, Jammu for execution of works, which was a long-pending demand of the Union.
He also expressed his thanks for providing ex-gratia Relief to the linemen who received injuries or were dead during execution of works.
In his address, he pinned hopes in the new elected govt headed by Omar Abdullah.
The union leader further extended good wishes to the newly elected Govt on behalf of the Union and demanded that the govt to sanction 3% DA in favour of the linemen of the JPDCL.
Among others who attended the meeting included Anil Singh Slathia, Vijay Gupta and Kartar Nath.
