Police arrests driver with sharp edged weapon

RAJOURI, Dec 26: The police arrested a driver and recovered a sharp edged weapon from his possession in Nowshera area today.
Official sources said that a police party from Nowshera laid a naka at Dhallain for the checking of vehicles on the Jammu-Poonch highway.
During checking police intercepted a Tralla, bearing registration number PB02DV-5305, traveling from Rajouri towards Sunderbani. Upon questioning, the driver identified himself as Sarbjeet Singh, son of Gopal Singh, a resident of Hailar, Tehsil Ajnala, district Amritsar.
Upon a thorough search, a sharp-edged weapon (Toka) was recovered from his possession. Subsequently, a case was registered under FIR No. 184/2024, U/S 4/25 Arms Act, at Police Station Nowshera.
