MANWAL, Dec 15: Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA for Udhampur East, today underscored the importance of unity and vigilance in the face of rising extremism and societal polarization.
Speaking at the annual day celebration of Brahamrishi Bawara Vidyapeeth School, here today, Pathania called upon the people of India to stand strong against divisive forces that aim to fracture the nation’s social fabric.
In his speech, Pathania pointed to the global rise of extremism, citing the tragic situations in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Syria as stark reminders of the dangers posed by such forces. He emphasized how the fall of democratic systems in these nations has led to widespread instability, violence, and the erosion of individual freedoms. Even as these events have unfolded thousands of miles away, India must remain ever vigilant, ensuring that such extremism does not take root on its soil, he cautioned.
Pathania called for a collective effort to uphold the secular and inclusive values that form the bedrock of Indian society, asserting that no one should be allowed to claim superiority or preference on the basis of religion, caste, or creed.
Turning to the educational values being promoted at Brahamrishi Bawara Vidyapeeth, Pathania lauded the school for its dedication to preserving India’s cultural heritage. He praised the school’s curriculum, which emphasizes the teachings of the Vedas and the nurturing of ‘sanskars’—values that instill respect for tradition, ethics and social harmony
According to Pathania, the school’s holistic approach to education, which combines academic excellence with a deep-rooted understanding of Indian history and culture, is an exemplary model for shaping future leaders who will carry forward India’s legacy of peace and unity.
The event was also graced by Chinmaya Jyoti, Chairperson of the school, who shared her thoughts on the relevance of the Vedas and Sanskrit in today’s world. Ved Prakash, Principal of the school, provided an overview of the institution’s achievements and outlined the school’s vision for the future.
