AKHNOOR, Dec 11: The police has solved the case of a blind murder of a labourer from Bihar in village Garkhal of Akhnoor Sub Division. The accused has been arrested and confessed his guilt.

On Tuesday, the body of labourer Pappu Paswan (32) son of Beghu Paswan, resident of Araria, Bihar, was found covered with grass in a field under Police Post Garkhal.
During the investigation in this heinous murder case, after establishing involvement of Balwinder Singh resident of Garkhal, the police immediately arrested the accused.
Talking to media-persons here today, SP Rural Jammu, Brijesh Sharma said that Akhnoor Police has achieved a great success by solving the murder of the migrant labourer in just a few hours. He told that the deceased Pappu Yadav had returned home a few days ago, on which he came to Garkhal village of Akhnoor to meet his wife and taking her back,
Balwinder Singh, was angry as he allegedly had `relationship’ with deceased’s wife. He killed Pappu Yadav with a sharp weapon and threw the body in the fields.
Pappu Yadav used to live on rent at the house of accused Balwinder Singh. He told that the accused was arrested after interrogation within a few hours. He told that after preliminary investigation, Balwinder Singh’s role was prominent. Apart from this, other facts are being investigated.
On this occasion, SDPO Muddasir Hussain, Police Station Incharge Tariq Ahmed, SI Anil Manhas were also present.
