JAMMU, Dec 3: One person was knocked to death by a bus at Khanpur area on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway today.
Rahul (around 30-32 years old) son of Ashok Kumar of New Plot, who was on way to Udhampur from his residence, was hit by a bus coming from Udhampur side to Jammu near Khanpur around 3 pm, resulting in injuries to him, said a police official.
The injured man was taken to Government Medical College Jammu, where he breathed his last, he said.
While the body of the deceased has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem examination a case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and further investigation taken up.
