JAMMU, Nov 26: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma today visited borders areas of Arnia, Bishnah and RS Pura.
Accompanied by SP Headquarters IH Rather, and SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna, the DIG JSK Range reviewed the security of these areas and later conducted a meeting with the police officials and VDG members in sensitive areas of Alk Nallah, Phaghu Nallah, Chakrohi and Sai areas.
He interacted with BSF authorities at Border Out Posts (BOPs) Sai Harpal Way, Suchetgarh, Bakarpur for better coordination with them in effective border management and to discuss security related issues besides establishment of joint nakas for better results.
The DIG JSK Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma also visited Border Police Posts Dewangarh, Hara Pir check posts, Sai Kalan, Chakrohi and directed the Incharge Police Posts for redressal of public grievances in a time-bound manner and briefed the nafri for their sensitivity of duty.
They were directed to remain extra vigilant on their points besides strengthening the nakas especially during the night hours to keep a watch on the anti-social and anti-national elements during these hours.
The police officer also sought cooperation from the general public in sharing timely information with the police.
