JAMMU, Nov 25: The Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) have seized 17 vehicles for their involvement in illegal mining in South zone of Jammu district.
A police official said that a team of Police Post Belicharana under PSI Rajesh Choudhary seized five vehicles, including tractors and dumpers loaded with sand.
Similarly, he said, a team of Police Post Chatha under PSI Karnail Singh seized 7 vehicles and a team of Police Post Phallain Mandal under PSI Balbir Singh seized five vehicles loaded with illegally mined sand and stones.
Post seizure of the vehicles, the District Mining Officer has been intimated for necessary legal actions, added the police official.
