Purnima slams NC’s discriminatory practices against Jammu region

JAMMU, Nov 24: BJP spokesperson and former Deputy Mayor, Jammu, Purnima Sharma, has strongly criticized the National Conference (NC) Government for continuing its longstanding policy of discrimination against the Jammu region.
In a statement here, today, Purnima pointed out the biased approach in the recent advertisement for 10+2 lecturer posts, which she claimed deliberately sidelined candidates from the Jammu region.
The advertisement issued by the J&K Public Service Commission (PSC) excluded essential language subjects such as Hindi and Sanskrit while prioritizing subjects preferred in Kashmir. This, she asserted, underscores NC’s enduring partiality, consistently neglecting the interests of regions outside Kashmir.
“While Omar Abdullah claims that his Government is committed to equitable development and justice for all, his actions tell a different story. The recent advertisement for 10+2 lecturers, which even favors subjects like Arabic and Persian neglecting Hindi and Sanskrit, is a stark example of this hypocrisy,” she said, adding “Such discrimination will not be tolerated in Jammu region any longer. The times have changed, and transparency now prevails.”
