VIJAYPUR, Nov 19: The Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur collaborated with the Police Hospital Jammu to organise a two-day medical camp and awareness program.
Inaugurated on November 18 by Dushyant Sharma, SSP and Principal PTTI Vijaypur, the event aimed at raising awareness about the importance of health among the staff and trainees of the institute.
During the event, a team of senior doctors from the Police Hospital Jammu, including Dr Sanjay Sharma (Consultant Physician) and Dr Baljit Singh (Medical Officer), delivered informative lectures on key health topics.
Dr Sharma spoke about the dangers of self-medication, stressing the importance of seeking professional medical advice instead of relying on un-prescribed treatments.
He emphasized that good health is essential for overall well-being, including physical, mental, and social health, and plays a crucial role in preventing diseases.
Dr Baljit Singh provided detailed guidance on the proper evacuation procedures for injured persons during accidents, highlighting the importance of safe transport to medical facilities.
The doctors also conducted a live demonstration on administering CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and safely shifting injured individuals to nearby hospitals—skills crucial for trainees in traffic induction and disaster management courses who often face such situations.
In appreciation of their contribution, the Principal of PTTI Vijaypur, Dushyant Sharma, presented the visiting doctors with mementoes.
The event was also attended by other senior officials, including Niaz-ul-Hussain, DySP Outdoor; Davinder Gupta, DySP R&D; Khushwant Singh, DySP Admn; Surrinder Paul Singh, DySP Indoor; Raj Kumar, Senior PO and Ch Asif Iqbal, Senior PO.
