JAMMU, Nov 18: The Community College of Central University of Jammu hosted its alumni meet, bringing together students of B Voc (Tourism Management), B Voc (Retail Management) & B Voc (BFS) Degree Programmes to reconnect, reminisce, and engage with the College and one another.
After a formal welcome address by Dr Naresh Kumar, Principal, Community College, Prof Jaya Bhasin, Dean, School of Business Studies, emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between alumni and the institution in ensuring its sustained success and evolution.
Dr Shahid Mushtaq, Nodal Officer, Community College, highlighted the achievements of the College since its inception. He emphasized the significant role of alumni in fostering a strong connection with their alma mater, which not only helps in strengthening the College’s legacy but also contributes to the growth and development of future students.
The Alumni Meet provided a platform for former students to share their experiences, reconnect with old friends, and discuss future opportunities for collaboration and mentorship with the current students of the Community College. A few alumni joined in online mode as well and shared their experiences.
Dr Neelika Arora, Director, UGC-MMTC and Faculty Members from School of Business Studies and B Voc Programme Coordinators graced the event with their benign presence.
The entire programme was coordinated by faculty members from Community College including Dr Payal Gandotra, Preeti Slathia, Kohit Targotra and Prinka Dogra under the guidance of Dr Naresh Kumar and supervision of Dr Shahid Mushtaq. Dr Payal Gandotra proposed a formal vote of thanks.
Meanwhile, the Centre for Comparative Religion and Civilizations, Central University of Jammu, also organized Alumni Meet 2024. More than 30 alumni members of CCRC took part in the meeting. These alumni members are working in different sectors of Government and Non-Government organizations.
Prof Niranjna Bhandari, Centre Director gave a presidential address. Dean of Social Sciences CUJ Prof A K Nanda showered his blessings to the members. The former director of the Centre Dr Ajay Kumar Singh gave a brief introduction to the Centre.
