Cultural program organized in honour of police martyrs

JAMMU, Oct 30: District Police Jammu today organized a cultural programme at the District Police Lines (DPL) to pay heartfelt tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty, while also celebrating the unity and cultural diversity of the region through a series of captivating performances.
The Cultural Programme featured powerful skits, which paid homage to the bravery and dedication of the police personnel who laid down their lives for the security of the nation. These emotional performances evoked a deep sense of respect for the fallen heroes.
The event also included stirring patriotic songs and vibrant local folk songs, highlighting the rich cultural heritage and promoting a strong sense of community. The event was attended by a large gathering of local residents, along with senior and subordinate officers/officials of District Police Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by police personnel and reiterated the district police’s commitment to maintaining peace and security.
At the conclusion of the Cultural Programme, mementoes, cash prizes, and certificates were distributed among the participating cultural troupes from various schools, in recognition of their contribution to the event.
Irshad H Rather (SP Headquarters Jammu), Kameshwar Puri (SP PC Jammu), Virender Gupta (I/C DySP DAR Jammu) and other officers and officials of Jammu Police were also present at the event.
