JAMMU, Oct 24: The monthly worship of Kaal Bhairav Dev Ji was performed on Thursday at ancient temple of the deity at Chowk Chabutra area in the heart of old Jammu city.
Devotees visited the temple in large number and paid obeisance.
The temple was beautifully decorated and the devotees visiting the temple were offered Prasad at a Langar organised on this occasion.
Pandit Rumil Sharma informed that the much awaited annual Kaal Bhairav Ashtami will be celebrated on November 23 this year and preparations to celebrate the day were underway.
Locals of the area informed that the Kaal Bhairav Dev is popular for fulfilling the wishes of visiting devotees and helping the people in depression and facing different type of problems.
Pandit Rumil Sharma also distributed holy thread among children after chanting Vedic hymns so that they may be blessed to excel in studies.
The devotees continued visiting the shrine till late in the evening
