It is not only surprising but also against the “people friendly’ terms/spirit that PDD has been preparing monthly electricity bills for previous month(s) followed by its delivery to consumers as payable by 27th of the same month in which it is issued and delivered.
There does not seem any logic in keeping 27th of every month as critical due date for payments when most of the common populace can hardly afford in these hard times to pay the dues by 27th for the simple factual reason that the common people remain financially hard-pressed towards the fag end of the month.
It is fervently expected that PDD would be considerate enough to review its policy of realizing revenue for previous month(s) by the Ist week of following month only as in in force in the case of Telephone/Mobile bills in Telecom Deptt.
