RAJOURI, Apr 22: A villager chopped off an arm of his elder brother with a sharp edged weapon after a tiff between the two, at home in Thannamandi area of Rajouri last night.
The victim has been identified as 48-year-old Harbans Lal, son of Kirpa Ram, resident of Bal Jarala village. The police said Harbans had a tiff with his younger brother Parshotam Lal last night. In a fit of anger, Parshotam took out a sharp edged weapon and chopped off the arm of his brother. Later, he escaped.
The injured Harbans was rushed to Rajouri Hospital at around 10 pm and then referred to GMC hospital Jammu. The police registered a case in this connection and today arrested the accused brother from a hideout.
