DODA, Apr 12: An awareness programme was organised by Tehsil Legal Service Committee on mediation as an important tool for disposal of cases in the Court Complex under the aegis of District Legal Service Authority, Bhaderwah.
This programme was meant to make the persons associated with justice dispensation, aware about the benefits and importance of mediation as important tool in alternative disputes redressal mechanism.
The programme was chaired by KS Parihar, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Doda and attended by judicial officers posted at the District Headquarter, advocates, retainer lawyers and para legal volunteers of legal aid clinics and litigants.
Rajeev Gupta, Chairman Legal Service Committee, Doda briefed the gathering about the importance of mediation process.
KS Parihar shared his experiences relating to disposal of cases through ADR Mechanism and told that disposal of cases by mutual settlement processes including mediation, ensures win win situation for the parties involved in the litigation.
Imtiyaz Ahmed Mir advocate, President District Bar Association Doda also spoke on the subject.
Senior lawyers attending the programme also shared their experiences and endorsed the ideas expressed by other speakers.
Navin Jamwal and Tabrez Ahmed Qazi, Magistrates posted at Doda also participated in interactive discussions.
Advocate KK Manhas, secretary of the Bar presented vote of thanks.
