Five houses, 3 shops gutted

SRINAGAR, Mar 22: Five residential houses were among eight structures were damaged in fire incidents across the Valley on Friday evening.
A police spokesman said fire broke out in the residential house of Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Gani Bhat at Dangerpora in Anantnag.
“The fire also engulfed the three adjacent houses, resulting in the damage to all the four structures,” he said.
Two shops of Sajad Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Hassan and Aijaz Ahmad Dar son of Mohammad Akbar of Sholipora, were gutted completely when fire broke out in them.
A residential house of Ghulam Hassan Sheikh of Gopal Pora Tengpora, Anantnag, was partially damaged in fire.
A shop of Ali Mohammad Kumar at Nadihal, Bandipora, was partially damaged, the spokesman said.
